After he had successfully defended two theses, Oleg Anatolyevich became Doctor of Medical Sciences, and afterwards, he received the title of professor and was awarded the title of Honoured Doctor of Ukraine. Today, the surgeon is an active member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS) and a member of the Presidium of the All-Ukrainian Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons.
Oleg Anatolievich graduated from the Faculty of Medical Education of the Military Medical Academy named after S. M. Kirov in Leningrad. He conducted his first operations in the field of otolaryngology in 1985 in the clinical residency in Riga. Later, Professor Kompaniets underwent training at the Medical Department of the Faculty of Management, Medical Academy of the Military Medical Academy named after S. M. Kirov in Leningrad which he finished with honours and a gold medal. Dr Kompaniets also completed his doctorate at the Ukrainian Military Medical Academy where he still holds the position of professor of the Department of Military Surgery. Oleg Anatolievich regularly participates in scientific congresses, conferences, and symposia on plastic surgery and rhinology issues.
Rhinoplasty cannot be performed at the expense of the nose function. Closed rhinoplasty almost in all
cases is not inferior to any of the parameters to the open rhinoplasty. The conducted operation should not
leave visible signs. The surgeon must guarantee the implementation of the planned modifications.
