Proportional and voluminous bust, according to the majority of men and women, is the standard of beauty and femininity. The leading experts in the breast plastic surgery at GRACE Centre will help you to achieve a large size and harmonious form of your breast taking into account your individual characteristics.

What is breast augmentation?
It is surgical breast enlargement method that includes the use of high-quality implants of varying size and shape to create a beautiful and attractive breast.
Duration of operation: 50-60 minutes

Rehabilitation: 2-3 weeks

Our approach to breast augmentation:

  • A most natural new-made form of breast taking into account the physiological characteristics of a patient.
  • Unique 3D equipment to create an accurate 3D model after breast augmentation.
  • Increased attention to the safety of our patients.
  • Minimal surgery injury and a tissue sparing approach which allows reducing the risks of complications.

Operation indications

  • Unilateral/bilateral breast hypoplasia (congenital small breast).
  • Asymmetry, ptosis (descent) or abnormal development of the breast.
  • Post lactational mammary subinvolution (decrease in the breast size and deterioration of its shape after the childbirth and breast feeding).
  • Reconstruction of the breast after mastectomy (removal of the breast) or trauma.
  • Implants replacement for medical or cosmetic reasons.
  • Congenital malformations of the mammary glands.

Psychological and other reasons of undergoing the operation

  • Hypomastia (too small breasts).
  • Breast that decreased in size and became less elastic after the childbirth.
  • Asymmetry (one breast is bigger than the other).

Types of implants

  • Shape. There are two main shapes of breast implants: round and drop-shaped (anatomical). The round implants make the breast spherical and significantly increase its size. Anatomical implants allow creating more natural shape.
  • Coating. There are two types of breast implant coating: smooth and textured. Smooth implants are easier to install, they require a smaller incision and minimise the risks of forming a wrinkled and rough surface in a few years. Textured implants reduce the risk of the unnatural hardness of the breast but require a larger incision.
  • Implant fillers. There are two main types of implant fillers: silicone filler and filler on the basis of a normal saline (salt) solution. For both fillers, the coating is made of silicone. Saline implants are more predisposed to deformation and filler leakage that can later affect their shape and, accordingly, the appearance of the breast itself. Silicone implants are more reliable and solid since they can retain their shape even in case of deformation.

Incision Techniques

  • Incision under the breast is most popular and commonly used technique in the world. It ensures the most accurate and predictable results. The post-operative scar is carefully hidden under the breast.
  • The incision in the armpit area. Implantation through the armpit is an ideal choice for those patients who do not want to see any scars in the breast area at all. A neat scar can only be visible when wearing open clothes (strap dresses) and upon a careful look at the underarm area.
  • The incision in the nipple area. The healing of the incisions in this area is quick enough and the scars are almost invisible. However, this incision technique may significantly affect the sensitivity of the nipple itself and of the area around it. Moreover, this implantation technique is not recommended for patients with small nipples.

Self-preparation for surgery

  • 14 days before surgery, you should stop taking hormones. If you cannot follow this recommendation, it is necessary to inform your surgeon about the systematic intake of these medications. Simultaneously, you should quit smoking or minimise it up to 2 cigarettes a day.
  • 7 days before surgery, it is necessary to exclude spiced and fatty foods as well as stop drinking alcohol.
  • In the evening before surgery, you should not take any food.
  • In the morning on the day of surgery, when arriving at the clinic, you should have comfortable clothes that not compress the breast, personal hygiene products, spare underwear, and all necessary documents and test results with you.

On the day of the breast augmentation surgery, your mental and physical conditions should be calm. In the preoperative period, light physical exercises are advised: long walks, jogging, training in the gym. In addition, attention should be paid to adequate rest and balanced nutrition. In some cases, the intake of vitamins or, in the case of serious operations, preparations containing iron are prescribed.
The course of complete rehabilitation?

Day 2 Discharge from the inpatient unit. It is allowed to have a shower.
In 10-12 days It is allowed flying.
In 4-6 weeks Compression garments can be removed.
Returning life to normal.
In 1-2 months It is allowed to visit the sauna, solarium, and fitness centres.
In 2-4 months You can evaluate the result of the operation

Specific aspects of the postoperative period

  • During first 2 days, a patient is prescribed to stay in the inpatient unit a hospital and have rest. In the case of painful sensations, the doctor prescribes her painkillers.
  • During 5 days after the operation, a patient should be careful when moving, namely, she should avoid raising her hands up above the level of her shoulders as this movement may cause the implant displacement.
  • During 10 days, it is strongly advised to avoid flying.
  • During 2 weeks after the surgery, the aspirin-containing drugs intake is prohibited. It is necessary to exclude alcoholic beverages as well as fatty, spicy, strongly salted, and fried food and exotic fruits from the diet. During this period, it is required to sleep only on the back.
  • During 3 weeks, it is desirable to exclude intimate relationships due to the high probability of such complications as implant displacement or development of an acute hematoma.
  • During 4-6 weeks, it is required to wear compression garments for normal healing.
  • During 2 months after the operation, It is not allowed attending the steam bath, sauna, solarium as well as spending much time in the sun. Also, in this period, active sports, including swimming, are prohibited.

During rehabilitation, the patients should include food rich in vitamins, micronutrients and all necessary substances in their diet.

Detailed consultation is the key to a operation
The duration of the initial consultation at GRACE takes, on average, 40-50 minutes. This time is necessary to hear and understand as deeply as possible all the needs and desires of a patient. During the consultation, we always strive to help our patients to create the correct expectation about breast increasing results. We will reconstruct the exact 3D-simulation of a new-made breast and simulate different variations of its final appearance using a unique equipment Vectra ХТ 3D according to a patient’s desires. Within 15 minutes, a patient will be able to see how her breast will look like after its augmentation and make corrections according to her preferences.
